Meet Our Founder
With over 11 years of dedicated service in the nanny profession spanning across the United States and even as far as Australia, Katie Phillips brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role as the founder of Bluegrass Nannies. Katie's journey in childcare began with a deep-seated desire to make a difference in the lives of children and families, leading her to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Psychology to further enhance her understanding of child development and behavior.
Having lived in various locations due to her husband's military service, Katie's diverse experiences have not only enriched her perspective but have also honed her ability to adapt to different environments and connect with families from all walks of life. Now settled in Richmond, Kentucky, Katie is deeply rooted in her community and is committed to providing exceptional childcare solutions to families in the area.
As a devoted mother herself, Katie understands the importance of finding the perfect caregiver who not only meets the practical needs of a family but also resonates with their values and parenting style. Her firsthand experience as a parent adds a unique dimension to her approach, allowing her to empathize with both the joys and challenges of raising children.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Katie enjoys immersing herself in the natural beauty of Kentucky, exploring its scenic landscapes and hidden gems. She also cherishes quality time with her family, bonding over a spirited game of football or unwinding with her favorite Bravo TV shows.
